Varun Dhawan was born on Friday, 24 April 1987 (age 36 years; as of 2023), in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He did his schooling at Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. After that, he attended Nottingham Trent University in England, where he completed his graduation in Business Management. There, he also applied for a job in a London-based bank, but he got rejected. So, he decided to pursue his career in acting and returned to India where he joined Barry John’s acting school to brush up his acting skills.

In an interview, he revealed his relationship with an anonymous girl when he was studying in the USA. Talking about that girl he said-

I was in HR college at the time… it was the first serious, long term relationship I’d been in. I think it had lasted four months… but then she cheated on me. I think I dealt with it okay; I’m a little dramatic – I’m an actor, after all – so I think I somewhere wanted to experience heartbreak anyway. There are supposed to be nine emotions, and you need to go through all of them to learn.”

At one point in time, his name was also linked with the actress Taapsee Pannu. At the time of Judwaa 2, they both were spotted spending quality time together.

Career

He completed his graduation in Business Administration, and after getting rejected from the London-based Bank, he pursued acting as a career.

He assisted Karan Johar in the Bollywood film ‘My Name is Khan’ (2010), as an Assistant Director. Later, Karan Johar launched him as an actor in the Bollywood movie ‘Student of the year’ (2012) along with the newcomers Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra.
