Chandni Mimic is an Indian mimicry artist, actor, emcee, host, video jockey, voice-over artist, dancer, and digital creator, who is best known for mimicking Indian actress Alia Bhatt.

Chandni Bhabhda ^[1]Chandni Mimic’s Instagram was born on 22 November, and she hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Growing up, Chandni was bullied by her classmates and teacher. When Chandni was in class 10, her mother took her to a psychiatrist for consultation and discovered that Chandni was suffering from clinical depression. In an interview, Chandni talked about her school days and said,

I used to beg my parents so that they won’t send me to school. It was hard! I remember, one day, the teachers yelled at me for no reason and did not let me go home for a while. I just couldn’t feel my body in that room. They knew about my depression and still, did not allow me to leave. After a while, when I had completely given up, they sent me back home. After that incident, my mother left her job and helped me heal.”

During her junior college days, she worked as an assistant at her brother’s event management company. She realised that she wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry when she auditioned and secured the job as a host for the MI Live app. While talking about the same in an interview, she said,

There was also this competition where a set of people were looking for a host for MI Live app. I gave the audition, and I was the only one from the college who was selected.”

After appearing in the annual entrance exam MHT-CET, she pursued a Bachelor of Legal Science & Bachelor of Legislative Law (B.L.S., LLB), a five years integrated course in the field of law, in a college affiliated to the University of Mumbai. ^[2]Local Samosa

Career

Apart from content creation, she also has a job in marketing. In January 2016, she started uploading humorous mimicry videos on her self-titled YouTube channel. In April 2022, she went viral over the internet when she mimicked Indian actor Alia Bhatt for ordering pizza over a prank call.

In July 2022, Chandni rose to popularity when she mimicked Alia Bhatt from the ‘My marriage’ sequence of Koffee With Karan Season 7’s first episode. Besides Alia Bhatt, Chandni mimics various characters including Daya Ben (a fictional character from the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) and Indian actress Kangana Ranaut. As a host, she has interviewed actors like Vidyut Jammwal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Hina Khan, for the Bollywood news & gossip website Instant Bollywood. She has also interviewed famous actors, singers, and TV personalities like Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Rampal, Jubin Nautiyal, and Priyank Sharma. She is also known for hosting entertainment and mimicry shows on the broadcasting platform LiveMe India.
