In an interview with a media house, Bharati remembered that she was pampered like a princess at Ashok Kumar’s workplace by his co-workers. She recalled,
Papa exposed us to world cinema and the creative arts. I used to go to the sets with him and we used to be treated like little princesses. Those days, there was no television.”
