Vaibhav Gehlot is a businessman and an Indian Politician. He is the son of the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He contested the 2019 General Elections from the Jodhpur Constituency.
Vaibhav Gehlot was born on 2 June 1980 (age 38 years; as in 2018) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He did his schooling from the Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi. He then went on to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the ILS Law College, Pune. He joined the Youth Congress in 2004. Vaibhav used to manage his father’s political campaign and has also worked in the Jodhpur constituency without being in active politics. Although he wanted to contest the 2009 elections, Ashok Gehlot did not want him to be involved in politics. Vaibhav then again approached his father in 2018 to contest the elections and he agreed. His father consulted the top leadership and it was announced that Vaibhav will be contesting the elections from the Jodhpur Constituency.

Vaibhav Gehlot was born in a Backward Mali (Gardener) Community (OBC). His father, Ashok Gehlot, is the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. His mother, Sunita Gehlot, is a homemaker. His sister, Sonia Gehlot, is married.
He got married on 15 July 2005 to Himanshi. They have a daughter, Kashwini Gehlot.
Vaibhav Gehlot had joined the Youth Congress in 2004. He then became a member of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) in 2010. He often managed and handled his father’s political campaigns but did not get directly involved in politics. In 2014, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). In 2018, Vaibhav was included in the All India Congress Committee (AICC). On 28 March 2019, Congress announced Vaibhav as its Lok Sabha candidate from the Jodhpur Constituency.
- Before he entered politics, Vaibhav used to run a Car Rental Company and a Consultancy.
- His wife, Himanshi Gehlot, never got involved in politics. She has always been interested in social work and helps children suffering from cancer through an NGO called Initiative Helping Hands Society. She works for many NGO’s.
- His daughter takes part in these NGO’s along with Himanshi and even volunteers for some of the initiatives and campaigns. Recently she participated in an initiative for hair donation for children suffering from cancer and donated her hair.
- After Vaibhav’s name was announced as the Lok Sabha candidate from Jodhpur, he thanked Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot for their support and belief in him.
