Reportedly, soon after the death of Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani developed a business dispute over the share in the Reliance industries. Nina Kothari and her sister, Deepti Salgaocar, were seen attending some meetings with their brothers and mother, Kokilaben Ambani, to help in solving the dispute amicably between the two brothers.
