Career

After completing his studies in finance and management at Wharton Business School, Nikhil Nanda started working as a trainee in England. Later, he returned to India and joined Yamaha, where he worked for six years starting from the lowest position. Nikhil Nanda was appointed as a key board member of Escorts Limited in 1997. He then went on to become the Chief Operating Officer in October 2005, Joint Managing Director in September 2007, and eventually the managing director of Escorts Limited in September 2013. After the death of his father, Rajan Nanda, in 2018, he was appointed as the chairman and managing director of Escorts Limited.

In one of his media interviews, he mentioned that although he had a crush on some Bollywood heroines when he was ten years old, he was never interested in acting. Nikhil Nanda said,
  

  Acting was not for me. I would spend my vacations with my grandfather Raj Kapoor, travelling with him for film shoots. When I was about 10-11, I had a crush on a few of his heroines.
