Manyuu Doshi aka Deepal Doshi was born on 6 April in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. He completed his schooling at Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School in Sion, Mumbai and later did his graduation at R.A.Podar College Of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (MFA) in Physical Theatre at the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, California. After completing his studies, he started performing shows in theatres across India, Bali, and Indonesia. He also trained in the Growtowski style of theatre in Sweden.

He got married to Kathryn Tabone, his junior at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, on 29 June 2012.  The couple welcomed a daughter, Rooh Kathryn Doshi, on 9 January 2021.

Career

Drama/Plays

Manyuu gained the audience’s praise for his play A Tale of Two Treaties, which he performed in many cities across India. He and his wife are the only artists in India who are well-versed in Commedia Dell’Arte, an Italian type of comedy that employs a variety of exquisite masks to portray different characters.

He has performed in many plays including the Marathi drama Char Don Tukde, ILA, and Lucrece, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s poem in which he acted alongside Kalki Koechlin.

TV Shows

He has worked in various TV shows including the biopic of Baba Ramdev which was titled Swami Ramdev – Ek Sangharsh and was broadcasted on Discovery Jeet; he played the role of Acharya Balkrishna in the show.

He made his debut in Bollywood with the character of Sunny in the 2018 romantic film Love Per Square Foot alongside Vicky Kaushal, Alankrita Sahai, and Angira Dhir.

He later played the role of Nanasaheb Peshwa in the 2019 Marathi film The Warrior Queen of Jhansi and the role of Chintan in the 2019 Hindi film Photograph alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanya Malhotra, Sachin Khedekar, and Jim Sarbh.

He has acted in the 2020 crime thriller series Rangbaaz Phir Se starring Jimmy Shergill, Sharad Kelkar, and Gul Panag which streamed on ZEE 5.

He acted as Shiv Swarnakar in the 2023 web series Dahaad alongside Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, and Gulshan Devaiah which streamed on Amazon Prime Video. It was the first Indian series to premiere at the Berlin International film festival and was nominated for Berlinale Series Award.
