She went to St. Mary’s School in Margherita, Assam, for her primary education. She grew up in Bangalore and did her schooling at Army School, Bengaluru.

Anushka made her modelling debut at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Wendell Rodricks’s Les Vamps Show in 2007. After that, she appeared in many ad campaigns such as Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry, and Fiat Palio.
