Her husband, Ashwin Dani (1944–2023), was the non-executive chairman of Asian Paints Ltd. The company was co-founded by Ashwin’s father, Suryakant Dani, in 1942. Ashwin passed away after a brief illness on 28 September 2023.

Together, they have three sons, Jalaj Dani, Malav Dani, and Hasit Dani. Jalaj Dani is a businessman, investor, and philanthropist, who was the public face of Asian Paints for around two decades during which he handled human resources, supply chain and chemicals portfolio at the company. In 2017, he resigned from his leadership roles at Asian Paints and became its co-promoter. He is the Chairman of Addverb Technologies and IIM Trichy and an Independent Director of HDFC and Havells.

Malav A. Dani is a businessman and entrepreneur. He is a Non-executive Director and Chairman of CSR Committee at Asian Paints. He is also a Managing Director of BSE-listed plastic and packaging company Hitech Corporation Limited.

Hasit Dani is also an Indian businessman and entrepreneur, who is board member of Asian Paints.

In 1979, she became a director at the companies Dani Enterprises and Geetanjali Trading And Investments. On 9 May 1992, she was made a director of Dani Securities. She became a director of Pragati Marketing Private Limited in 1996. In 1998, she assumed the directorship of four companies, Dani Finlease, Hitech Specialities Solutions, Dani Trading And Investments, and Dani Holding And Trading Company. On 8 May 2008, she became a director of Suryakant Paint Accessories. In 2013, assumed the directorship of Rituh Holding And Trading Company and Avinash Holding And Trading Company. In 2020, she became a director of S C Dani Research Foundation. Apart from that, she is also a yoga teacher who teaches prenatal yoga to expectant mothers to have a safe and normal delivery.

• Ina Dani is a keen yoga practitioner and a disciple of B. K. S. Iyengar, an Indian teacher of yoga and author. Her association with Guruji Iyengar began in 1980 when her husband, Ashwin, was suffering from an obstinate slipped disc problem. Ashwin experienced a  75% relief in only one yoga lesson and stopped visiting his physiotherapist. During that period, Guruji used to travel to Mumbai from Pune every weekend on the Deccan Queen train, and Ashwin and Ina attended his classes. The husband and wife wanted to create something permanent for yoga. Hence, when they built their residential building, Home Villa, in the 1990s, the first thing they established was an Iyengar Yoga Centre on its first floor. Thereafter, she started teaching yoga to pregnant ladies at the Iyengar Yoga Centre at Home Villa. She has also served as managing trustee to Guruji Iyengar’s Light on Yoga Research Trust (LOYRT). That’s how Iyengar Yoga became a way of life in the Dani household. Every day, the family members try to spare at least an hour for yoga practice.
