He did his schooling at Sri Satya Sai Niketan High School, Ulhasnagar. For junior college, he attended Smt. Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani College, Ulhasnagar (2009 – 2011). From 2011 to 2015, he pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Mumbai, Maharashtra (2011 – 2015). Relationships/Affairs

Akash Dodeja dated Simran Dhanwani, who also appears in YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s vines, for a long period before marrying in 2024. On 3 January 2024, Simran announced her engagement with Akash. She posted pictures on her Instagram account in which Akash was seen proposing to her with a ring.

Ashish Chanchlani, who is their best friend, played the matchmaker between the two. Chanchlani posted a heartwarming comment on their post, which read,

Yes, guys, Hermione Granger got engaged with Ron Weasley. Love you both so much. My 2 bestest friends are getting married. Just wow.”

Chanchlani, in his Instagram story, posted the poster of their YouTube video titled The Palti-Khor FRIEND (2017) with a caption that read,

Since childhood, he has been passionate about films and the entertainment industry. As a kid, he would sit and watch old films with his father, just to enjoy the air-conditioned TV room. Later, he pursued the science stream in Classes 11 and 12 and enrolled in MBGT tution classes, where he met Ashish Chanchlani. One day Ashish and his friend Karan were arguing over Akshay Kumar‘s laughing style sitting at the tution classes while Akash, a movie buff, sat on the bench behind them. While Karan said it was Akshay Kumar’s original style, Ashish said that he was mimicking the laugh of an old Bollywood actor. Between the heated argument, Akash said that Akshay Kumar mimicked the laugh of veteran actors Pran and Jeevan. Akash’s knowledge of Bollywood impressed Ashish, and soon, they became friends. Then, Akash enrolled in Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Mumbai, while Ashish enrolled in Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. Around 2014-15, while still in college, Ashish started content on vines and shared it on social media. Watching Ashish, Akash was also intrigued to make vines. Akash would meet Ashish on the weekends and make funny videos for Ashish’s YouTube channel. However, it was a leisure time activity for Akash. After completing his engineering, he worked in the corporate sector for two years, before making a career in the entertainment industry.

Career

In July 2015, he started working as a Process Engineer at Aker Solutions in Mumbai, which was an oilfield services subsea (technology) engineering company. He joined as a contract trainee and was supposed to become a permanent employee in one and a half years. However, a sudden drop in oil prices led the company to fire the contract trainees in 2017. Later, in 2017, he assumed the role of Process Engineer at TechnoQuest, Inc, where he worked for seven months. After that, he decided to appear in the CAT exam to pursue an MBA. Parallelly, he was making vines with Ashish Chanchlani on the weekends.

Meanwhile, he also joined his father’s business chemical business. On the day of his exam, some fellow CAT aspirants recognized him as Jadoo at the exam centre and asked if he was the guy who appeared in Ashish Chanchlani’s videos. Then, people started clicking pictures with him. Following this moment, Akash released that he had accumulated a fanbase and started taking content creation seriously. He did not pursue an MBA, and instead, started focusing on content creation and running his father’s business. Thereafter, Akash appeared in various vines of Ashish Chanchlani like The reality of every new year plan (2016) When mom is scolding your brother & you are enjoying it (2017), That friend Who always says no to all our plans (2017), and The Palti-Khor FRIEND (2017), along with others like Kunal Chhabhria, Simran Dhanwani, Rohit Sadhwani, Anmol Sachar, Barkha Singh, Bhavika Motwani, Radhika Bangia, Pulkit Samrat, and Varun Sharma.

In 2018, he established his self-titled YouTube channel on which he posts a wide variety of Funny Vlogs, he calls it “We-log” since Akash and his friends are always seen in his Vlogs together. His first vlog was on a Goa trip with friends. In 2019, Akash earned a YouTube Silver Play Button for his self-titled channel.

In 2020, he was much appreciated for portraying the role of Claudia Ciesla in Ashish Chanchlani’s parody video Sasta Biig Bosss.

In the year 2022, Chanchlani created a parody of the television show Shark Tank India. This satire, named “Sasta Shark Tank,” showcased Ashish Chanchlani in the role of Paneer Grover (Ashneer Grover), portraying the founder of Bharatde Simran Dhanwani as Babita Papad (Namita Thapar), Akash Dodeja as Chaman Gutka (Aman Gupta), and Kunal Chabria as Uttapam Misal (Anupam Mittal).
