On 16 January 1995, after suffering heart failure at the age of 87, he passed away. Ashwin Kaushal’s mother’s name is Bina Kaushal. Her brother, Ashwin Kaushal, is an actor who is known for his roles in Hindi films including PK (2014), Ghulam-e-Mustafa (1997), and Sardari (1997).

Raina and Kaushal got divorced in 2011, citing that “they weren’t compatible”. Talking about their divorce in an interview, Kaushal said,
Only after the marriage did we realise that we were poles apart. He’s a good person but I think we both made the big mistake of getting married. We will soon file for divorce. ‘Marriages are made in heaven’ is bullsh*t and one should never go for a love marriage.”

Television
Tanushree Kaushal started her career as a theatre artist and acted in various plays in different languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Punjabi. Initially, she played side roles in various daily soaps like Dial 100 (2001), Ssshhhh… Koi Hai (2002), and Rooh (2004). Meanwhile, she also featured in some TV commercials which largely went unnoticed. Then, she gained popularity for playing negative roles. In 2004, she appeared on Sahara One’s TV show Malini Iyer in which she shared the screen with legendary actress Sridevi.
In 2006, she came into the limelight with the show Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann on Zee TV in which she played the role of Menka Garodia, a malicious ‘chhoti maa’ (step-mom) to four daughters of the Garodia household.
In 2007, she appeared in the serial Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka on Zee TV in which she played the role of Bulbul (Titli’s elder sister). In 2008, Vineet Raina and Tanushree Kaushal appeared as a contestant on the dance reality show Nach Baliye season 4.
In 2014, she gained immense appreciation for her role as Balbir Atwal/Bebe in Imtiaz Punjabi’s drama show Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja on Life OK.
From 2015 to 2016, she appeared in Zee TV’s Tashan-E-Ishq. She appeared in the children’s comedy-drama TV series Bhutu (2016) on Zee TV as Aarav’s mother. - On 27 November 2023, Tanushree Kaushal’s ex-husband Vineet Raina got married to a nurse named Apeksha Raina.
Talking about his marriage with Tanushree, in an interview, Vineet said that he didn’t even consider it a marriage because it lasted less than a year. He said that there was no love and bonding and it was a decision made in haste and against everyone’s wishes. Vineet also said that he was grateful that he realised that the relationship wouldn’t work in a short time. He also added,
I don’t talk about it because I don’t count it at all, and hence, it wasn’t difficult to move on from it. I don’t regret it because it was destined to happen.”
Comparing his relationship with Apeksha, he said,
After that, this is the first time I am deeply in love with someone, and that’s Apeksha. This relationship hasn’t been hasty and has grown stronger with time. It’s a match made in heaven. We share similar likes, dislikes, and temperaments.”
