She was in a long term relationship with the political analyst, Tehseen Poonawalla. Robert and Priyanka had convinced Monicka’s father for her marriage with Tehseen. The couple got married on 29 March 2016 at Meridien Hotel in Delhi, and it was attended by the by many prominent politicians including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Career

As per the sources, she used to work as a Director in D & A shoes before starting her own venture. On 6 October 2017, she launched her own jewellery retail venture, ‘House of MVJ’ in Koregaon Park, Maharashtra.

Controversy

Monicka and her husband broke all the ties with Tehseen’s younger brother Shehzad Poonawalla; as he commented against the Congress party leaders in 2017. Monicka tweeted,

My family & I neither have any relation, association nor wish to comment on the issue or the said individual Shehzad Poonawalla. Please refrain from tweeting/contacting me for the same.”
