Samantha Win, formerly known as Samantha Jo Samantha Win – Instagram, is a Canadian actress and martial artist. She is known for her work in the Canadian TV series Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011) and American films Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021) and Army of the Dead (2021).
At the age of four, she began learning martial arts as her mother was a black belt in jiu-jitsu. At the age of twelve, she turned to wushu. She trained under Alan Tang. Talking about her coach, she said,
My Wushu coach Alan Tang is just one of the best people in the world. Huge heart and so much to give… he’s my role model.”
She studied at Sunny Tang Martial Arts Center in Toronto and was a member of the Newmarket-based Team Ryouko Martial Arts performance team. She did her schooling at Richmond Hill High School, Canada. As a teen, she studied acting at the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television. In Los Angeles, she did her training in acting with some of the many great acting teachers.

She began her career as a child model for several print advertisements for Sears Company around the age of twelve.
She also appeared in several Toy commercials. She also appeared in commercials for KIDZ BOP, a musical group, in 2004.
From 2004 to 2008, she was a part of the Canadian National Wushu Team. In 2007, she won a bronze medal in Nangun at the World Wushu Championships in Beijing.
During the 2008 Summer Olympics, she contested the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament.

In 2009, she made her debut as a stunts woman with the Canadian television series ‘Aaron Stone.’ She then became a stunt-double for the American actress Daniella Monet in the American TV series Supah Ninjas (2011). Subsequently, she appeared as stunts double in the American TV series; for Carly Chaikin in Suburgatory (2013), Skyler Samuels in Bloodline (2013), and Ming Na Wen in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-15).

In 2010, she made her film debut as a stunts woman in the US-UK-Canadian-Japanese co-production ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.’ She then appeared as Stunts double for many American actresses in American films. She appeared as stunts double for Jena Malone in Sucker Punch (2011), Kristen Stewart in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012), Antje Traue (German) in Man of Steel (2013), and Eva Green (French) in 300: Rise of an Empire (2014).
In 2011, she made her acting debut as ‘Kitana’ in the Canadian television series ‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy.’
She worked in the series till 2015. In 2015, she made her American TV series debut with ‘Agent X’ as ‘Juju.’
She then appeared in the American TV series Seven Bucks Digital Studios (2017), Lethal Weapon (2019), and Arrow (2019).
In 2013, she made her film debut with the American-British film ‘Man of Steel’ as ‘Car-vex.’
She then appeared in American-British films Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League (2017), and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). In 2021, she appeared in the main role of ‘Chambers’ in the American film ‘Army of the Dead.’
She worked in several short American films Jia (2015), Snow Steam Iron (2017), Silent Night (2020), Disobedience (2020), Committed (2020), Circle of Stone (2020), and Unwelcome (2021).
After moving to LA, she joined an LA theater and made her stage debut as ‘Catherine’ in the Thursday Night Theater Company’s production of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge in 2018.
In 2020, she made her debut as a producer with the American short film ‘Silent Night.’
She produced the American short films Disobedience (2020), Committed (2020), and Unwelcome (2021). In 2020, she made her debut as a writer with the short film ‘Committed.’
She was the assistant editor and writer for the American short film Unwelcome (2021).
