Before becoming a social media star, Puneet worked in a company in Ghaziabad, where his earning was Rs 10,000 per month. In 2015, he lost his job and didn’t get another job for 1-2 months. Later, he started making lip-sync videos on TikTok on the recommendation of one of his cousins. However, he didn’t get many views on his videos, but he still kept on posting videos for almost six months. After some time, one of his videos got viral on which he got 1300 views and 96 likes. This motivated him to make more videos. He then started making comic videos based on the events of daily life, which received a positive response from the viewers. His video ‘Apne maa baap ke tukdo pe palke so jaunga’ was one of his most liked videos that later proved to be the breakthrough of his career. Many Bollywood stars such as Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor and various social media stars later made lip-sync using this video.
In August 2022, he created a YouTube channel titled ‘Puneet Super Star,’ where he started posting vlogs and funny videos. As of June 2023, his channel has more than 12 Million views.
Bigg Boss OTT 2
In 2023, he participated in the reality digital series Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant. On the very first day of the show, he smeared toothpaste all over his face and tried to damage the property of Bigg Boss’ House, after which he got a strong warning from Bigg Boss and was asked to improve his behaviour. However, Puneet refused to do so and threatened to leave the show. After this, he got evicted from the show, becoming the first contestant to leave the Bigg Boss House within 24 hours.
