Shreyas Mendiratta was born and brought up in New Delhi. He did his schooling at Delhi Public School R. K. Puram in New Delhi. A notorious kid since childhood, Shreyas grew up being the class clown, making his friends laugh at jokes he would read in comics. He recalled the same in an interview and said,
I always wondered, âHow do we make Friends?â It was not until Class 3 that I found the secret to become an approachable figure â Sense of Humour and Wisdom….I stumbled upon a bunch of âChampakâ Comics during the Summer Vacation, which had a whole section in it dedicated to Jokes for Kids. I read those and couldnât stop laughing. I made a separate Notebook where Iâd use to write them down. When school reopened, I shared those Jokes with the whole class. As I had expected, everyone laughed. I made this into a regular habit, and soon enough, I had developed the âClass Clownâ persona; always making others laugh. “
He started performing on stage at school when he was in Class 6, and soon, he developed a passion for theatre and acting. Soon, he was inducted into Expressions Theatre Club, DPS RK Puram’s theatre society and participated in various intra-school, inter-school, and national-level competitions. He was in Class 9 when he started learning to play the guitar. To his amazement, not only he had a thing for music, but he also possessed a mesmerizing voice. He took up Science Stream (Medical) after Class 10. Around the same time, he also started his YouTube channel and Instagram page, where he would record and post music videos regularly. Soon, he started experimenting with both music and comedy to create content for social media. In 2019, he started studying MBBS at the SGT Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Gurugram.
