Mohammad Faiz was born on Monday, 18 February 2008 (age 14 years; as of 2022) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. During the show Superstar Singer Season 2 in 2022, the family members of Mohammad Faiz disclosed that he started training in music from his maternal grandfather, Ustad Shakur Khan, at the age of eight. He was born and brought up in a family, which has a great music background and grew up listening to music.

Mohammad Faiz started participating in several Indian singing reality shows at an early age. In 2018, he participated in the Love Me India Kid in which he was one of the finalists and was chosen as the winner of the West Zone. The Indian singers Guru Randhawa, Neha Bhasin, and Himesh Reshammiya were the judges of this show. In the following year, he was one of the participants in Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. At the end of the show, he was chosen as the first runner-up of the show. In 2022, he was the winner of the Superstar Singer Season 2, which was aired on Sony TV.

• In 2022, Arunita Kanjilal was the mentor and guide of Mohammad Faiz during the show Superstar Singer Season 2. He sang the title song from the film Khamoshiyan as his first performance on the show. The song earned him enormous popularity on the show.

• Mohammad Faiz was honoured with a Superstar singer trophy and prize money of rupees 15 lakhs after winning the show on 4 September 2022. The other six finalists of the show were Aryananda R Babu, Sayisha Gupta, Pranjal Biswas, Rituraj, and Mani Dharamkot.

• According to Mohammad Faiz, he participated in the Superstar Singer Season 2 to dedicate his singing skills to his parents. In an interview with a media house, he talked about the usage of the monetary amount that he won after winning the reality show. He said,
  

  I will hand it over to my parents because I participated in the show for them only.”

  He added in the same conversation that as a singer he always competed with his own previous performances and did not look after his competitors. He said,

  I was competing with my own self. Each time I wanted to put up a better performance than the previous one. So I was only working on my skills because I had to beat myself each time, rather than looking at how others were singing.”
