Kishwer Merchant first appeared in the television series Shaktimaan in 1997 in the role of an assistant named Julia.

She then appeared in the television series Hip Hip Hurray (1998-2001) as the character Nonie.

Some of the popular roles in the early years of her acting career were as Malvika in Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa (2000-2001), as Mitali Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001-2004), and as Pooja Devan Ahuja in Kayaamat – Jabb Bhi Waqt Aata Hai (2003-2005).

She was very popular as Haseena Raichand, a vampire, in the series Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (2010-2011).

 

Kishwer appeared in Ek Hasina Thi (2014) as Raima Maheshwari, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan (2014-2018) as Nyonika Malhotra, and Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar (2014-2015) as Dimpy Karan Kapoor.

She was a contestant in Bigg Boss Season 9 (2015-2016), who walked out in the seventh place on day 87.
