Career

In 2003, he appeared in the Hollywood film ‘School of Rock’ in which he played the role of Freddy “Spazzy McGee” Jones.

Later, he appeared in a few Hollywood films including ‘The 50 Greatest Comedy Films’ (2006), ‘White Reindeer’ (2013), and ‘666: The Devil’s Child’ (2014). He had a keen interest in music, and he performed as a professional drummer at various events. He performed with various music bands such as Dreadwolf, Funk It Let’s Jam, the Robbie Gold Band, and Jess Bess And The Intentions. In an interview, he talked about making his career as a drummer. He said,

I’ve been drumming for about five years now, well when I was about two or something. I’ve actually been drumming my whole life because my mom went to a garage sale and she found this old broken drum kit and she said ‘This’ll be fun to give to a kid, it’ll let him get some energy out.’ So, she brought it home and I would always be banging on it and hitting it and stuff.”

Death

On May 26, 2021, while Kevin was biking in Avondale, Chicago, he was hit by a Hyundai Sonata car. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, and the hospital officials declared him dead. According to the local police,

About 1:20 a.m., Clark, 32, of the 700 block of West Roscoe Street in Lakeview, was riding east on his bike on Logan Boulevard, approaching the intersection at North Western Avenue. A silver Hyundai Sonata driving south on Western Avenue was coming up on a green light and drove into the intersection, hitting the bicyclist as he ran a red light.”

On his demise, his friends shared grief on their social media accounts. Jack Black took to Instagram to share his condolence on Kevin’s demise. He wrote,

Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”

Kevin’s friend Reyes wrote on her Instagram,

I just remember being nervous and scared and then being instantly more warmed up by Kevin’s spirit,” Reyes said. He was such a big-hearted, warm human. The three of them were “rambunctious, wild, inseparable.” [3]Chicago Tribune

My mom brought home the drums because she was sick of me banging on pots and pans. But I truly believe I was drumming from the womb, kicking the double bass with my feet.”
