In September 2022, she was rumoured to be dating the American actor Johnny Depp. However, just after two months, news broke that the pair had split. The two had worked together during his 2020 U.K. libel trial when Johnny Depp sued the British tabloid newspaper ‘The Sun’ for calling him a “wife-beater.” Rich was not on Depp’s legal team for John C. Depp, II v. Amber Laura Heard; however, she attended several proceedings inside the courtroom during the trial against Heard. From August 2008 to July 2011, she worked as a Solicitor at the law firm DLA Piper in London. In August 2011, she became a partner at the international law firm Schillings. She represented Johnny Depp in his 2020 U.K. libel case when he sued the British tabloid newspaper ‘The Sun’ for calling him a “wife-beater;” Depp lost the libel case in November 2020. She also represented Meghan Markle in a lawsuit against the publishers of the Mail on Sunday in 2021. The Schillings website states that she specializes in defending her client’s reputation against false and defamatory allegations in print, online, and on social media. She has particular expertise in protecting individualsâ privacy from unwarranted intrusion and media attention.
