Janina Elkin was born on Monday, December 20, 1982 (age 38 years; as of 2020), in Kyiv, Ukraine. At a very early age, she began her dance training at Kyiv State Dance Academy. Later, she took Ballet lessons at State Ballet Academy in Mannheim, Germany. In 2001, she enrolled herself in Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York for a four-year course in acting. Thereafter, in 2012, she pursued a two-year course at Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, Berlin. In 2003, Janina Elkin began her journey as a theatre artist at Altonaer Theater in Hamburg, where she played the role of Yvonne in the theatre play ‘Der schönste Tag.’ Thereafter, she performed in various plays like Lost (2006), Der Taxifahrer (2007), Motortown (2007), etc. In 2009, she starred as ‘Baby’ in the play Dirty Dancing at Theater am Potsdamer Platz, Berlin.
