Jaan Nissar Lone is an Indian singer and music composer. He is famous for his Hindi song “Rubaru” from the Bollywood film Ginny Weds Sunny. He is well-known for his Kashmiri Sufi Songs. He is the CEO and founder of Kashmir’s first international music record label, “AR Music Studios.” He has worked with renowned Bollywood singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Shaan, and many more.

Jaan Nissar Lone was born in 1985 (age 38 years; as of 2023) in the village Sheeri, Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. He completed his high school at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Shahkote, Baramulla. He did graduation at the University of Kashmir. He pursued a master’s degree in Indian And Western Music, Music Theory, and Composition at Trinity Music School, London. After completing his formal education, Jaan Nissar moved to Mumbai and started his music career.

He was the music director for the Hindi-language film Shudra: The Rising, released in 2012. Jaan Nissar Lone sang the song “Allah Teri Kya Shaan Hai” along with singer Kamal Khan for the film “18.11: A Code of Secrecy,” in 2014, and he was also the music director of this song. In the film Pranaam, released in 2019, he composed the music for the song, “Rann Ki Dahaad.” Jaan Nissar was a singer and composer of a romantic Hindi song released in 2019, under the label of “Rajshri,” Khuda Meherbaan. He collaborated with the famous playback singer Richa Sharma and directed a song “Mere Ali Moula Ali,” with T-Series, in February 2022. He produced and composed another song “Ve Diljaaniya” with Richa, in January 2023. He released a Hindi song “Malanga – Sab Se Unchi Yaar Faqeeri,” in July 2022, under his own production house “AR Music Studios.”

Jaan Nissar Lone hails from Kashmir and wants to represent Kashmiri folk music worldwide. So he has made many beautiful Kashmiri compositions. He produced the Kashmiri song “Maayi Chaney” in the film Half Widow, in 2017. He composed a Kashmiri folk song “Harmukh Bartal” (2018), which got featured in a Hindi web series “The Family Man,” season 1. In 2019, Jaan Nissar composed a song “Salam E Wazwane” about Wazwan (Kashmiri Multi-course meal), sung by his wife, Rani Hazarika, promoting the traditional Kashmiri social function cuisine. He was the singer and music composer of the song “Rouvmut Dildar,” in which his son, Raah Nissar Lone, appeared as Zian. “Pannun Watan” is a song in which Jaan Nissar displayed his talent for singing and playing musical instruments Rubab (the national musical instrument of Afghanistan, commonly played in the northern part of India and Pakistan), and Melodica. In November 2022, he released the song Wafa Kartum, which he sang along with Rani Hazarika.
