Abhishek Ghosalkar worked as a civil engineer with VAS Construction home builders in Mumbai from 2008 to 2015.
Politics
In 2012, Abhishek Ghosalkar was elected as a corporator in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), representing Ward Number 1 and its areas including Dahisar East, Borivali East, and some parts of Kandivali East.
Later, he began working as the Director of the Mumbai District Central Co-operative Bank and President of the Disha Foundation in Mumbai, India.

Accused of Mental Torture
In 2014, a council member named Sheetal Mahatre accused some workers from the Shiv Sena party of writing her phone number on public toilet walls in Dahisar. She said they caused her mental stress. Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead on 8 February 2024 by Mauris Noronha, a local activist and businessman. Reportedly, Abhishek Ghosalkar and Mauris were not in good relations for a while. According to media reports, Mauris invited Abhishek to his office in Borivli (West) and pretended to be friendly and do charity work together on Facebook Live.
In the Facebook Live video, Mauris shot Abhishek five times. Abhishek tried to run away during the live session but got shot again. After killing Abhishek, Mauris shot himself.
