From 2005 to 2009, she attended the University of Cambridge, England (grade O-Level and A-Level). From 2010 to 2014, she pursued BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. From 2010 to 2014, she received an international undergraduate student scholarship at the University of Manitoba. In November 2011, she was honoured with the University of Manitoba Honour Roll for her outstanding academic performance. In June 2014, the University of Manitoba honoured her with Dean’s Honour List.

As of 2023, Vijayapriya works as a diplomat in self-styled godman Swami Nithyananda’s fictional nation United States of Kailasa. She is also the permanent ambassador of ‘Kailasa’ in the United Nations. She has made pacts with various international organisations on behalf of her nation. She has also claimed that Kailasa has started various NGOs in different countries.

Controversy

Controversial Remarks on the Indian Government

In February 2023, she represented the United States of Kailasa at the UN convention in Geneva, Switzerland. In the convention, she accused the Indian government, of persecuting her guru Nithyananda for reviving Hindu traditions. She further asked,

What measures could be taken at the national and international level to prevent the persecution of Nithyananda and the 20 million Hindu migrant population in Kailasa.”

She targeted the Indian government in the convention for which she received criticism.

 

Even questions were raised on the United Nations officials for allowing a diplomat of a fictional nation to attend the meeting. Later, the UN responded to the queries and said that the inputs given by Vijayapriya were not considered. According to the sources, the UN panel said that Nityananda’s country ‘Kailaasa’ had participated as an NGO in the UN meeting and not as a country. ^[3]Times Now
