Kabaddi Player
In 2019, Surender Gill participated in the All India Inter University Championship (AIIU) in which he represented the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak and his team won the championship. After the championship, Surender appeared for the trials of the Pro Kabaddi League and that’s when he got selected by the Lucknow-based kabaddi team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League. Surender played a total of 18 matches and held a raid strike rate of 38% and a tackle strike rate of 47%.

In 2021, Surender was retained by ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League in which he played 23 matches and earned 198 points. He also held a raid strike rate of 53% and a tackle strike rate of 39%.

In the same year, he represented U. P. Yoddha B. K. Kabaddi Academy in the 38th All India Men Kabaddi Championship 2021 which was held at Gotegaon, Madhya Pradesh. Surender scored 36 raid points and 23 effective points in the championship.
