“Glorifying” Indira Gandhiâs Killers
In 2023, Shubh wore a hoodie featuring a map of Punjab and alleged illustrations related to the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during a concert in London. A video of Shubh wearing this hoodie at the event went viral, leading to significant backlash, including criticism from actor Kangana Ranaut. Shubh later addressed the situation on social media, explaining that he was disturbed by the audience throwing various items, including clothes and jewellery, at him during the event. He also urged people to stop spreading hate and negativity towards him.
While some sources claimed that he “glorified” the assassins of Indira Gandhi, there were reports questioning the video’s authenticity. It was reported that the actual hoodie worn by Shubh during the concert might have been different, primarily featuring a map of Punjab with the names of its districts written on it.
