Bhupinder Babbal is an Indian musician specialising in Punjabi folk music. He is known for singing renditions of famous Punjabi folklore music. He became famous after lending his vocals to the music of the Bollywood film Animal (2023) starring Ranbir Kapoor.

Career
After participating in numerous inter-college cultural programs during college, Bhupinder Babbal decided to become a musician. After he passed out from college, he began singing at various occasions including marriages and wrestling matches in his village for money. He soon gained fame and recognition and became known for his renditions of old Punjabi folk songs. He has lent his voice to many songs including Saint Soldier, Mirza, Challa, and Arjan Valley.

Later, Bhupinder Babbal started teaching music at S. D. College, Sector 32, Chandigarh. He has been appointed the judge of numerous inter-college cultural programs.

In 2023, he created the music for the Bollywood film Animal (2023) starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. He co-created the music with singer B Praak. According to him, the team of ‘Animal’ reached out to him after discovering one of his songs on YouTube.

On 27 November 2023, during a live event held in Hyderabad for the promotion of the Bollywood film Animal (2023), Bhupinder Babbal began singing the viral song ‘Arjan Valley’ from the film. This event led to trolling online for Bhupinder as the videos went viral the next day, and according to the netizens Bhupinder was only lip-syncing to the pre-recorded audios. Award
He won the Best Playback Singer (Male) award for the song ‘Arjan Valley’ from the film ‘Animal’ at the 69th Filmfare Awards. He also won the Best Music Album award for the film ‘Animal’ at the event, which was held at the GIFT City in Gujarat on 28 January 2024.
