Qamar Mohsin Sheikh or Qamar Jahan [1]The Times of India is an Indian woman of Pakistani origin who is known for being Narendra Modi‘s Rakhi sister. She has been tying Rakhi to Modi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan each year since his days as an RSS worker.

She said that she would pray to god that Modi becomes the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Her prayers were answered when Modi assumed the role in 2001. Narendra Modi’s Rakhi Sister

Qamar Mohsin Sheikh first met Narendra Modi when he was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker during one of her visits to Delhi with her painter husband, whose paintings were showcased in an exhibition in the city. Since 1995, she has been celebrating Raksha Bandhan by tying a rakhi to Modi each year and praying for his growth and prosperity.

However, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country in 2020, she was unable to meet Modi in person for the occasion for the following 2-3 years. During those years, she posted him the rakhi. In 2023,  Sheikh announced that she will visit New Delhi and tie a handmade rakhi to the Prime Minister. While describing the handmade rakhi in an interview, she said that she had specifically made a red-coloured rakhi for him as the colour is considered a symbol of strength. She also said that she will gift a book on agriculture to Modi as he was fond of reading. She had been tying a rakhi to Modi every year for the past 30 years at that time.
