Suspended From The Lok Sabha
On 21 December 2023, three members of the Indian National Congress (INC), including Nakul Nath, were suspended from Parliament for violating its code of conduct due to their inappropriate behaviour. According to sources, Nakul protested the suspension of over a hundred MPs earlier in December 2023, who had raised questions about the security breach in Parliament in which some youths released tear gas in the parliament. During his protest, Nakul raised slogans in Parliament and despite being warned by the speaker of the Lok Sabha to avoid it, he did not stop. Later, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi presented the suspension proposal in Parliament, and it was accepted by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla. In the proposal, Joshi said,
This House has taken serious note of the misconduct of Deepak Baij, DK Suresh, and Nakul Nath. They grossly disregarded the authority of the House and the Speaker. They showed placards and entered the well of the House. They are being suspended from the House due to this reason. Earlier in the day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had warned the three MPs against protesting in the House.” [3]Aaj Tak
