Majiziya was born on Thursday, 1 December 1994 (age 26 years; as of 2020) in Orkkatteri, Vadakara in Kerala. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She did her schooling at Iringal Islamic Academy English School and Orkkatteri Government Vocational Higher Secondary School. On Sunday, 28 January 2018, she got engaged to an American-Afghan Nour Ahmad Kohan Alizaey, and later, the couple got married.

Career

In 2016, while she was in the third year of college, she started participating in boxing, but she was not allowed to enter the boxing ring while wearing braces. She then started her training in powerlifting and has won the Strong Woman of Kerala Award thrice (as of February 2021).

 

In 2018, she won the Mr. Kerala competition wearing a hijab in the women’s category. She has been working as a certified dentist as well.

She participated in the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss Malayalam 3’ in 2021 hosted by the famous Indian actor Mohanlal.

Facts/Trivia

  • In 2017, she joined boxing classes in Vatakara, Kerala, and later, she started her training in powerlifting. In an interview, she said,

It had always been my dream to learn boxing, but I never got the opportunity. My family did not object to this desire, but we did not have any training centres in our area, especially for women. Even gyms in my area did not have any provision for training women.”

  • She always wears a hijab during her sports activities.
  • Majiziya is an animal lover and owns a pet dog named Moidheen.
