Madhukar Balvantray Parekh was born in 1946 (age 77 years; as of 2023) in Mumbai, India. He is a Gold Medallist Alumnus of ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai) where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology. He completed Masters’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, US in 1969. He then joined Abbot Laboratories and worked for a few years there before coming back to India and joining his father’s business.
