Kaajal Oza Vaidya’s career began in the field of literature and writing. In 2005, she made her debut by writing a collection of short stories, ‘Sambandh To Akash,’ along with a collection of poetry, ‘Sheshyatra.’ She gained immense popularity when her first novel, ‘Yog Viyog,’ was published in Chitralekha.

She has penned the scripts for three Gujarati telefilms: Antarna Ujas, Sukhno Arth, and Hu Ja Bhagyavidhata. In 2001, she wrote a  television series titled ‘Ek Daalna Pankhi,’ which broadcast on DD Girnar, ran for 1600 episodes, while ‘Moti Ba,’ which aired on ETV Gujarati, ran for 500. ‘Saat Taali’ and ‘Ek Moti Eklavyanu’ were two of her other Gujarati weekly soaps. She wrote the Hindi scripts for ‘Apne Paraye,’ which aired on B4U, and ‘Mahasati Savitri,’ which aired on SAB TV. She penned the scripts for Hindi movies like Ghat and Diwanagi as well as Gujarati movies like Saptapadii (2013) and Dikri To Parki Thapan Kehvay.
