Giridharan (1992-2022) was an Indian martial artist and Kalaripayattu instructor. On 19 June 2022, he collapsed and died while giving an interview on one of the YouTube channels.

Career
After completing his training in different martial art forms, in 2015, he started a martial arts school Kalariyil Kshathriya in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He was training hundreds of students in his school in various art forms like Kalaripayattu, Karala, Angapor, and Kalari yoga.

Giridharan, along with his students, used to perform at various martial arts competitions and events. He appeared in the martial-art-based film ‘Aadhiyogi’ (2018).

Death
On 19 June 2022, a YouTube channel visited his school Kalariyil Kshatriya, Valasaravakkam, Chennai, to film a video on him for their channel. At the time of the interview, he was at his school Kalariyil Kshatriya, Valasaravakkam, Chennai. Giridharan slumped over while executing a specific action and started feeling nauseous. An hour later, he began vomiting. His students immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors. He was practicing continuously on 18 June 2022, and he did not take a rest for many hours. He was exhausted by extreme workouts and less rest due to which he collapsed.”

- He used to work for various social causes like helping needy students and eradicating seemai karuvelam trees.
- He loved doing adventure sports and travelling on his Royal Enfield motorcycle.
