Dilip Joshi is an Indian actor and theatre artist. He is known for playing the role of Jethalal Champaklal Gada in the SAB TV’s Hindi sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008).

According to various media sources, his date of birth is 26 May 1968. He hails from Gosa Village, Porbandar, Gujarat. His zodiac sign is Gemini. Upto class 10, he did his schooling at St. Sebastian Goan High School, Mumbai. He did his class 11 in science at Wilson College, Mumbai. However, he failed in class 12. He then changed his stream from science to commerce and completed his class 12 at Hinduja College of Commerce, Mumbai. Career

Theatre

He started his career as a child theatre artist with the children’s play Aie Ranchhod Rangila. At the age of 12, he started performing with the theatre group Little Theatre Academy of Namdev Lahute. Later, he appeared in many Gujarati theatre plays such as Bapu Tame Kamaal Kari and Jalsa Karo Jayantilal (along with Disha Vakani). He has also performed at Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai.

In 1987, Dilip made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Pratighaat’ in which he played a small role.
