Kishori Shahane was born on 23 April 1968 (age 55 years; as of 2023) in Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Taurus.

She was good at academics and had a passion for acting from her childhood. When Shahane was in her 9th standard, she got a chance to perform in a folk ballet “Durga Zhaali Gauri.” It was after that moment that she decided to be an actress. Gradually, she started doing professional plays. When Kishori was in her 11th standard, she was offered a role in the Marathi film “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla” along with Ashok Saraf and (Late) Laxmikant Berde. Thereafter, she enrolled herself in Mumbai’s Mithibai College to pursue her graduation in commerce. During her college, she was crowned “Miss Mithibai.” By the time, Shahane did her graduation, she had done almost 20 Marathi Films.

Kishori Shahane started her acting career in 1987 with the Marathi film “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla.” However, she shot to fame with “Maherchi Sadi” and “Wajva Re Wajva.” Her performance in dramas like “Moruchi Maushi” (Marathi) and “Aadhe Adhure” (Hindi), earned her recognition and established her as an actress. In 2003, she participated in Mrs. Gladrags Beauty contest and emerged as the runner up of the show. Shahane has worked in various Marathi Blockbuster Films including “Ek Daaw Dhobi Pachhad,” “Nawara Majha Nawasacha,” “Maherchi Sadi,” “Wajawa Re Wajawa,” “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla,” and “Balache Baap Bramhachari.”

After working in Marathi Films, Shahane ventured into the Hindi film industry. She has featured in supporting roles in Bollywood films like “Shirdi Sai Baba,” “Hafta Bandh,” “Pyar Ka Devta,” “Bomb Blast,” “Mumbai Godfather,” “Milenge Milenge,” “Red: The Dark Side,” “We R Friends,” “Shagird,” and “Mohenjo Daro.”
