He started his career as a theatre artist. He has performed in various Gujarati theatre plays like Chaal Reverse Ma, Jaiye Parke Paise, and Leela Laher.
TV
In 1998, he played the small role of a drunkard in the Sony TV Hindi serial ‘CID.’ He played small roles in a few other Hindi TV serials like ‘Khichdi’ (2003; Star Plus) and ‘F.I.R.’ (2006; Sony SAB).
He gained immense popularity with his role as Jayantilal Girdharlal Gada/Champaklal Jayantilal Gada in the Sony SAB Hindi TV serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ in 2008.
