  • Devon Terrell likes to read and traveling in his spare time.
  • He went to Edith Cowan University to become a drama teacher. It was after he played the role of an 80-year-old in the play ‘The Cherry Orchard’ that Dalip Sondhi (a drama teacher at the university) told him that he was meant to be an actor and not a teacher. Sondhi added,

There is something about you that wants to act, you can’t be here”

Devon listened to his advice and auditioned for NIDA.

  • For his role in Barry, Devon learned to do things with his left hand. He also worked with a dialect coach. Talking about it, he said,

I learned how to write and play basketball with my left hand. I naturally speak with an Australian accent, so my incredible dialect coach, Charlotte Fleck and Vikram [Gandhi], helped [me] to distinguish the accent.”
