Devon Terrell was born on Friday, October 23, 1992 (age 27 years; as in 2019), in Long Beach, California. At the age of five, he moved to Perth, Western Australia with his family. He did his schooling from Lynwood Senior High School, Perth. He studied drama at Edith Cowan University, Perth, and also taught acting there. In 2013, he graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, Australia.

Career
Devon was set to make his television debut with the 2015 series ‘Codes of Conduct’ as âBeverly Snow,â but the show never aired. Eventually, he made his television debut with the lead role of âKing Arthurâ in the series Cursed (2020).
He made his film debut with Barry (2016) as ‘Barack Obama.’
He has acted in the films, Ophelia (2018), and The Professor (2018).

- He went to Edith Cowan University to become a drama teacher. It was after he played the role of an 80-year-old in the play âThe Cherry Orchardâ that Dalip Sondhi (a drama teacher at the university) told him that he was meant to be an actor and not a teacher. Sondhi added,

Devon listened to his advice and auditioned for NIDA.
- For his role in Barry, Devon learned to do things with his left hand. He also worked with a dialect coach. Talking about it, he said,
I learned how to write and play basketball with my left hand. I naturally speak with an Australian accent, so my incredible dialect coach, Charlotte Fleck and Vikram [Gandhi], helped [me] to distinguish the accent.”
