Abhijeet Khandkekar is an Indian television and film actor. He is famous for his roles in the Marathi TV shows Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena (2010) and Mazhya Navryachi Bayko (2016).

Abhijeet Khandkekar was born on Monday, 7 July 1986 (age 36 years; as of 2023) in Pune, Maharashtra. He had a keen interest in anchoring, which led him to a job as a Radio Jockey at Radio Mirchi, in 2006. He worked as RJ for one year and later, he started acting in the Marathi films and television serials.

Television
In 2009, Abhijeet participated in a reality show, Maharashtracha Superstar, on Zee Marathi. He hosted the same show in 2020. He appeared as Abhijeet Pendse in the famous show Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena, created by Ekta Kapoor, and was broadcasted from 2010 to 2011 on Zee Marathi. He played the main lead Gurunath Vasant Subhedar in one of the top five Marathi shows of 2016, Majhya Navaryachi Bayko, which run for almost four years. He hosted Zee Marathi Utsav Natyancha Award in 2018 and 2019. In May 2022, he started working as Lavdya Malhar Kamat, the main lead of the Star Pravah’s show Tuzech Mi Geet Gaat Aahe.

Film
Abhijeet made his debut in the film industry with the Marathi film Jai Maharashtra Dhaba Bhatinda as Sayaji Nimbalkar in 2013. Another film, Ek Doosrey Ke Liye was supposed to be released in 2013 but due to several reasons shooting of the film got halted and it was never completed. He was the main lead in the film Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa released in 2014. He did the Marathi political drama film named Dhol Taashe in 2015. In 2017, he appeared as Sameer Karandikar in a film, Dhyanimani. He worked in a movie, Baba (2019), the first-ever Marathi film produced by the Indian actor Sanjay Dutt‘s production house. He has done many films in the Marathi film industry like Bhay (2018), Me Pan Sachin(2019), and Dharmaveer (2022). He appeared in a top-rated film, Baal Bhaarti released on 2 December 2022.

Abhijeet acted in an MX Player’s series, Idiot Box, in a supporting role that was aired in 2020. He was the host of the Marathi crime, thriller TV series Criminals: Chahul Gunhegaranchi, from 2021 to 2022 which ran on Sony Liv. He also did a tv series for Planet Marathi, Soppa Nasta Kahi, in 2021. He did a Hindi web series, Duranga, which is the revamping of the Korean drama Flower of Evil released on ZEE5 in 2022.

- In 2010, he won Zee Marathi Utsav Natyancha Awards for Best Actor, Best Newcomer Male, and Best On-screen Couple for his Marathi television serial “Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena.”
- In 2017, he got nominated for Zee Marathi Utsav Natyancha Awards for Best Character – Male, and Best Negative Role – Male, and he won the Best Negative Role – Male for a TV show, Mazhya Navryachi Bayko.
- In 2020, he won Majjedar Digital Kalakar Award for his show Mazhya Navryachi Bayko at the 2nd Majja Digital Awards.
- In 2019, he got honoured by Indian Journalists Association with the Maharashtra Bhushan Award.
