Domestic Violence Allegations
While an online feud was going on between Vivek Bindra, Yanika’s husband, and Sandeep Maheshwari, a popular Indian motivational speaker, in December 2023, a video went viral in which Vivek was seen reportedly beating his wife, Yanika. After their marriage on 6 December 2023, the couple was living in the Supernova West Residency in sector 94 of Noida.

On 7 December 2023, just one day after their marriage, Vivek allegedly got into a verbal fight with his mother, Prabha, when Yanika tried to calm the situation; however, Vivek verbally and physically assaulted Yanika after locking her in a room and also broke her phone. Yanika’s brother, Vaibhav Kwatra, lodged an FIR at the Sector-126 police station in Noida on 14 December 2023 in which he claimed that Yanika suffered bruises over her full body, and her ear lobes were also damaged due to which she was unable to hear. The FIR was lodged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 427 (mischief). Yanika was later taken to Kailash Deepak Hospital in Delhi for treatment.
