On 12 May 1985, Shashi Kaushik got married to Satish Kaushik, a well-known actor, director, comedian, and producer. The couple had a son, Shanu Kaushik, who passed away at the age of two, in 1996. On 15 July 2012, their daughter, Vanshika Kaushik was born through surrogacy. On 9 March 2023, at the age of 66, Satish breathed his last after he suffered a heart attack while on his way to the hospital in Gurugram, Haryana.
Career
In 2019, Shashi produced the Haryanvi film Chorriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti, featuring Satish Kaushik as Jaidev Choudhary. In 2021, she co-produced the Hindi film Kaagaz, starring Satish Kaushik as the director and actor; Satish played the role of a lawyer, Sadhoram Kewat, in the film.

- Before getting married to Shashi, Satish had proposed marriage to the Indian actress Neena Gupta when she got pregnant with the retired Anituguan cricketer Viv Richards’s child, Masaba Gupta in 1988, without marriage. Satish, in an interview, stated that Shashi, his wife, never objected to his friendship with Neena and said,
My wife, Shashi, knows about my equation with Neena, who is a regular at our home. She understands and respects our friendship.”
- On 8 March 2023, Shashi Kaushik’s husband, Satish celebrated Holi with his friends in New Delhi. In the early morning of 9 March, Satish complained about discomfort and uneasiness following which on his way to the Fortis Hospital in Gurugram, he suffered a heart attack and succumbed to death.
