Shalmalee Desai was born on Friday, 17 March 1989 (age 34 years; as of 2023) in Pune, Maharashtra. She did her schooling at St. Gregorios High School, Mumbai. She later attended the Ramnivas Ruia Junior College. She pursued BA with a major in Psychology at Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai in 2009.
