Pramod Pathak is an Indian actor who is popular for appearing in the Bollywood films Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), and Raees (2017), and the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur (Season 1 & 2).
Pramod Pathak was born on 23 December, and he hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. To complete his formal education he moved to Nainital, Uttarakhand, where he lived for eight years. Thereafter, he returned to Kanpur and engaged in his family business. After working in the family business for a year, he got disinterested and went to Mumbai to seek a job opportunity. In Mumbai, he earned a living by working in a market research company situated in Churchgate, South Mumbai. In 1996, he joined a theatre group in Mumbai and decided to pursue a career in acting.

Pramod Pathak got married on Wednesday, 10 April 2013.
While working in a market research company in Churchgate, Mumbai, Pramod Pathak used to spend his spare time watching various films and dramas which intrigued him to venture into the entertainment industry. In 1996, he joined a theatre group in Mumbai, and he began his acting career as a theatre artist.
Pramod made his Bollywood debut in 1980 when he played a small role in the film Thodisi Bewafaii. Thereafter, he made short appearances in the Bollywood films The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002), Mumbai Cutting (2008), and Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010). He gained popularity with the crime film series Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) in which he played the role of Sultana Daku.
Other films in which he appeared include John Day (2013), City Lights (2014), Raees(2017), etc.
He made his television debut in 2016 when he played the role Duggal in the Star Plus’ show ‘P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke’
OTT/ Web Series
In 2017, he made his digital debut with the show InMates in which he played the role of Janet’s husband.
In 2020, he played one of the protagonists, Tripurari, in the show Raktanchal. He struck stardom in 2018 with the Amazon Prime series ‘Mirzapur’ in which he played the role of JP Yadav.
- To supplement his income, Pramod Pathak undertook various additional jobs like writing screenplay dialogues, working as a backstage assistant or a sound operator, and providing technical assistance in theatre plays.
