Nandita started her career as Radio Jockey with All India Radio for their Marathi programmes. She also worked as a voice-over artist for many computer-based educational projects.
Theatre
Nandita joined Theatre accidentally. In an interview, she spoke about it and said,
I call myself an accidental actor because I had no plans to make my career in the entertainment industry. I was working in the corporate sector and to satisfy my creativity, I used to do the early morning shows at All India Radio. Film
Nandita’s debut film was ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’ (2014) in which she played the role of Dnyanesh’s mother. Later, she worked in many Marathi films such as ‘Daaravatha’ (2015), ‘Lalbaugchi Rani’ (2016), ‘Khari Biscuit’ (2019), ‘Baba’ (2019), and ‘Balbharti’ (2022). She also worked in a short film, ‘Butter Chicken’ (2022). She made her television debut with the Marathi show ‘Maze Pati Saubhagyavati’ (2015), where she played the role of Laxmi. She then worked in ‘Tu Maza Sangati.’ In 2020, she appeared in the Marathi serial ‘Sahkutumb Sahparivar.’ Her role as ‘Sarita’ got her ‘Sarvotkrsht Vahini Award’ at Star Prawah Puruskar.
