Saloni Gaur (popularly known as Salonayyy) was born on Sunday, 12 December 1999 (age 23 years; as of 2022) in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She studied at Renaissance School, Bulandshahr. She later pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in political science and economics at the Janki Devi Memorial College affiliated with Delhi University from 2017 to 2020. Standup Comedian

She started competing in standup comedy shows while studying in college and took part in her first competition show at the Daulat Ram College, Delhi University. She later won awards at many competitions as a standup comedian.

Impressionist

In 2017, she started impersonating different characters inspired by real life and made videos about social issues. Her first character was Pinky Dogra, and she often posted videos on Snapchat and Instagram. She later developed two other characters named Kumkum and Asha Behenji. In 2019, she made a character named Nazma Aapi which went viral. She made videos about CAA, NEET, Arnab Goswami vs Sonia Gandhi, and other issues with her character Nazma Aapi.

 

She also impersonated many Bollywood celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan, and Sonam Kapoor. In an interview in 2021, she revealed that she has experimented with 11 fictitious characters. She made her web series debut in 2020 with Uncommon Sense With Saloni which streamed on SonyLIV; the series featured her character Nazma Aapi, delivering monologues related to societal issues such as women’s safety, unemployment, and fake news.

She later acted in Bhai Behen vs the World in 2022, which streamed on Amazon Mini TV, and played the role of Priyanka in Campus Diaries in 2022, which streamed on MX Player.
