Rony Ajnali is an Indian lyricist and music composer who is prominent in the Punjabi music industry. He got into the limelight for some of his projects including writing lyrics for the Punjabi film titled ‘Teeja Punjab (2021),’ lyrics for Jassie Gill’s song titled ‘Ki Chahida’ (2023), and the music album titled ‘Yo Yo Honey Singh: Kalaastar (2023).’

Rony Ajnali was born as ‘Ranbir Singh’ [1]B Social – YouTube on Tuesday, 13 July 1993 (age 30 years; as of 2024) in the village of Ajnali, Tehsil Sirhind, district Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Rony Ajnali completed his schooling at a local village school and later in 2017, he completed his graduation at the Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh in the Bachelor of Arts.

Career
Music Composer and Lyricist
Rony Ajnali started writing lyrics when he was around 15 years of age and in 2019, he joined another lyricist named Gill Machhrai and both became business partners and started writing lyrics and composing songs together. In 2019, Rony and Gill Machhrai wrote the song titled ‘Navi Navi Yaari,’ which was sung and released by Diljit Dosanjh in his album ‘G.O.A.T’ which was released in 2020.

In 2023, Rony and Gill Machhrai collaborated with Yo Yo Honey Singh for his album titled “Honey 3.0” in which they wrote the song titled ‘Kalaastar.’

- Punjabi singer Harjit Harman’s album titled ‘Panjebaan’ was the album that inspired Rony to start writing lyrics and that’s when he started he started his journey.
- Rony and his business partner and lyricist Gill Machhrai met the famous singer Yo Yo Honey Singh through singer and actor Prince Narula. Both the lyricists wrote Prince’s song titled ‘Todh’ in 2022 which was loved by Honey Singh and that’s how Prince arranged a meeting for all of them.
- Before becoming a full-time lyricist and music composer, Rony did many odd jobs to make ends meet. Some of the jobs include giving tuition to children and delivering pizzas.
