He took up Physical Education and Music as his major subjects. Jassie was fond of singing from a very young age. He learned singing in his college days from professor Narinder Dhiman and participated in the Youth Festival. Gill bagged the second position in the competition for 4 times in a row. After completing his graduation, he moved to Australia and used to wash cars there to earn money. He used the money which he earned by washing cars to release his first song.

Career
Jassie Gill started his singing career in 2011 with the single track Batchmate. However, he received recognition after singing the song “Churriyan.” Subsequently, he released his song “Lancer” and earned wide popularity. The song received more than 4 million views. He, then, went on to release many popular tracks including “Pyar Mera,” “Ik Saal,” “Laden,” “Bapu Zimidar,” “Guitar Sikhda,” “Nikle Currant,” and “Nakhre.”
Gill made his acting debut in the Punjabi Industry in 2014 with the film “Mr. & Mrs. 420.” The film earned him the PTC Punjabi Film Award for ‘Best Male Debut.’ Subsequently, he appeared in films like “Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin,” “Dildariyaan,” “Channo Kamli Yaar Di,” and ” Sargi.”
In 2018, he made his Bollywood debut as an actor with the film “Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi.”
