In 2019, Gill Machhrai joined another lyricist and music composer named Rony Ajnali, and they both became partners and started doing projects together.

In 2019, Gill and Rony wrote the lyrics of the song titled ‘Navi Navi Yaari’ for Diljit Dosanjh for the album titled ‘G.O.A.T’ which was released in 2020.
