Television
In 2005, Samrat went to Mumbai. In 2006, he made his acting debut with Star Plus’ TV show titled ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ made by Balaji Telefilms. He played Laksh Virani, acting alongside Mouni Roy and Tia Bajpai. However, he left the show in 2007.

In 2008, he was a contestant on Star Plus’ reality show ‘Kaho Na Yaar Hai.’ Then, in 2011, Samrat starred as the lead in choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant’s musical theatre production, ‘Taj Express.’

Lodged a Complaint against Ekta Kapoor
In 2007, Pulkit left the TV show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ after a disagreement with Ekta Kapoor and openly confronted her, accusing Balaji Telefilms of unfair treatment regarding actors’ fees. He filed a lawsuit against Ekta, claiming she damaged his reputation publicly and owed him Rs 3.21 lakh. Broke Hotel Furniture
Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam’s second romantic movie, ‘Junooniyat,’ didn’t do well at the box office. It seemed Pulkit had a hard time dealing with this failure, especially because it was the second flop in a row for the rumoured couple.
