In 2001, she debuted as a singer with the song ‘Love Pannu’ from the Tamil romance film ’12B.’

She hit the spotlight after she lent her voice to the song ‘Mundhinam Parthene’ from the 2008 Tamil action drama film ‘ Varanam Aayiram.’ Some of her songs that have been featured among the top 20 popular songs on FM radio include ‘Ayyayo’ from the Tamil film ‘Aadukalam’ (2011), ‘Lolita’ from the Tamil film ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ (2011), and ‘Enamo Aedho’ from the Tamil film ‘Ko’ (2011). In 2015, she lent her voice to the song ‘Agaramodu Lagaram’ from the Tamil film ‘Maha Maha.’

My dad was very keen that I complete my education and learn the basics of music before becoming a full-fledged playback singer. After completing my bachelor’s in computer science, I got married and seven years after 12B, my next song was in GV Prakash’s Veyil (Iraivanai…). And from then, there was no looking back as I worked with Yuvan Shankar Raja. It was Harris Jayaraj’s Mundhinam Partheney… in Vaaranam Aayiram that gave me a new lease of life.”
