Prakruti Mishra is a popular Indian film and TV actress from Odisha. In 2018, she won the National Award for Ollywood film ‘Hello Arsi.’

She was born on Friday, 3 March 1995 (age 27 years; as of 2022), in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Her zodiac sign is Pisces. She did her schooling from Venkateswar English Medium School in Bhubaneswar. She joined Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar and Bhavan’s College in West Mumbai to complete her graduation. Later, she did Post Graduation in Odissi dance form.

Family, Caste & Boyfriend

She belongs to a Hindu family. Her father, Manmath Mishra is an Odia music director, and her mother, Krushnapriya Mishra is a newsreader. Prakruti has a brother, and his name is Manab Mishra.

From 2011 to 2012, she was in a relationship with the Ollywood actor ‘Arindam Roy.’ Later, the couple got separated and Arindam got married ‘Anupa Das’ in 2016. Anupa is the sister of one of the ministers of Odisha. Prakrutri has been dating Ratul Manek for a few years.

Career

She started her career in acting at the age of 4. She appeared in the Odia film, ‘Hari Bhai Harena’ as a child artist in 2000. In 2005, she appeared in ETV Odia’s serial, ‘Tulasi.’ Her debut in Ollywood was in the movie Thukul (2012). She has acted in more than ten Odia films. She was the judge of two reality shows- ‘Mr and Miss Kalinga’ (2013) and ‘Raja Queen’ (2015). She participated in Zee TV’s show India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj’ as a contestant in the year 2014. In 2015, she debuted in the Bollywood movie ‘Kaun Kitne Paani Mein.’ In 2017, she appeared in the Odia film ‘Hello Arsi,’ and her acting in the film was appreciated by the critics and audience.

She has been featured in various Odia and Hindi music videos. Some of her famous Odia and Hindi TV serials are- Trideviyaan (2016), Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki (2017), and Bitti Business Wali (2018). In 2019, she participated as a contestant in the MTV’s reality show Ace of Space 2.

Assaulted by co-star’s wife

In July 2022, Prakruti Mishra hit the headlines after a video went viral in which she was assaulted by the wife of her co-star Babushaan Mohanty. According to reports, the actress was assaulted as Mohanty’s wife believed that both were having an affair. Later, Prakruti took to Instagram to express her opinion and wrote,

Every story has two sides. Unfortunately, we are living in such a society where people blame women before listening anything. Me and my co-star Babushaan were heading for Chennai to attend an event being organised by Utkal Association. During the period, Babushaan’s wife along with some goons started heckling the actor and assaulted me physically and mentally.”

Babushaan Mohanty also clarified through a video statement in which he said,

All of you must be enjoying watching my viral videos. But, I want to tell you that I came to Chennai to participate in Utkal Divas celebrations and Prakutri Mishra was also invited to the event. I came here to promote my film in which Prakruti is working opposite me, and we were also planning to announce a new film. I was not aware that my family was going through disturbances. If my family has issues with this then I will not do that film with her. If required, I will not work with any heroines in the future.” ^[2]Hindustan Times
