Acting Career
Maithili was interested in acting since her childhood. She used to do street plays in her society during festivals. Whenever there would be a school or college play, she was the first one to participate. Her passion for acting grew, and she started performing in theatres. She got her first break in 2006 in the Marathi film Aai Mala Maaf Kar.

On 26 March 2016, Maithili Jawkar had filed an FIR against the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Mumbai- Ganesh Pandey. She accused him of molestation during BJYM’s 3-day executive committee meeting. Maithili stated that Ganesh invited her to his room and passed lewd remarks about her. Although Ganesh resigned from his post as the BJYM President, he refuted these claims and said that it was part of a conspiracy against him.
